About me
I have been involved with competitive swimming and water polo most of my life.
In recent years I have gained qualifications in swimming teaching and water polo coaching. I am the Water Polo coach at Sevenoaks Swimming Club, The Southern Regional Training Centre and I am an assistant coach to the Great Britain Ladies Youth Squad.
During my coaching I was surprised at the frequency of injuries to some players and the lack of injury management training available to players and coaches. Without proper management even minor injury can become debilitating and this can lead to weeks of painful rehabilitation.
To enhance my coaching skills and to fill this injury management void I completed a years BTEC Professional Diploma in Sport & Remedial Massage Therapy with the London School of Sports Massage under the tutelage of Mel Cash BA (Hons), Principal tutor at the LSSM and lecturer in anatomy and physiology at the University of Westminster.
